What is the process for obtaining a sick leave medical certificate?
After booking your online consultation, you will receive either a video link or a doctor’s call (if choosing telephone consultation—an Irish number is required).
When do I need a medical certificate?
Your employer may require a GP medical certificate if you’re on sick leave for >2 consecutive days. The certificate should include your expected return date. For prolonged absences, weekly certificates may be needed.
**Note: This electronic sick leave is not valid for Social Welfare claims; visit your GP in person for those.
