During the consultation, the doctor should make sure that you are already taking the medication, that you are familiar with its use, that you know the risks and, above all, how you should take it.
Also during the conversation, it is assessed whether the medication is being administered appropriately as a double check.
In the case of dangerous medication (such as that for heart or psychiatric or neurological treatment), it is ideal to provide documentation that proves that it has been taken previously and that it has been prescribed by your regular GP.
